Step by Step

Tessa is letting me approach her and lean in to pet her now! She still pulls herself back a little, but she is no longer running away, or moving back and lying down. She is, I think, starting to understand - and trust - that all I am going to do is give her a little rub on her head, which is something that she loves.

Class is just bringing about an amazing transformation in her. She is getting more and more and more comfortable in her own skin. She is "normalizing" in a lot of very subtle ways. At class she is becoming more comfortable and is willing to try new things. But I am really seeing the most differences at home.
